The Journey of Ross Cameron; Day Trader and Entrepreneur

Ross Cameron is a true entrepreneur in the world of day trading; he is a family man who loves spending time with his family when away from the computer. The trading expert indulges in hobbies such as sailing, playing tennis, riding mountain bikes, and working on classic cars. Ross even has a blog dedicated to his car hobby called “Tire Kickers by Ross Cameron.” 

There´s a lot to talk about his career. Ross Cameron and his family have been making maple syrup in the Berkshires of Massachusetts for the past few years. This year, he took a step further into learning how to day trade – taking what he knows about being a backyard maple syrup producer and comparing it to day trading. While in grade 5, his uncle made his fortune in the stock market. 

From there, Ross was inspired to develop an interest in the stock market and began a journey of exploration. As he moved on to grade 7, the DotCom bubble was in full effect, and it sent the leader on a quest to understand how people are making money through stocks and investments. Ross Cameron joined his school’s trip to New York City, and was amazed at the possibilities of the stock market.

Cooper, one of his friends, became his stock trading partner while acquiring stocks from different companies. He was motivated to add real money into the market and called his local Edward Jones office. Unfortunately, they told Ross Cameron that he had to pay a commission of $50 for buying and selling the stocks, which would consume most of the $100 saved up from his first newspaper delivery job. 

The dream of being in the stock market took a back burner for a few years, and Ross entered high school. Years later, in 2017, he decided to embark on his trading journey and funded a brand new trading account with just $583.15. In 44 days, he turned the performance into over $100k, and that was just the beginning. From there, he decided to turn it into a million dollars. It was a crazy goal; Ross Cameron was only 10% of the way there. He spent the next two years growing the account to $1,000,000. He crossed that milestone in May 2019.
