ROY BECK
Roy Beck is a journalist who has been researching immigration issues since the 1960s. He writes for several newspapers and magazines, including The Weekly Standard, National Review Online, and Wall Street Journal Europe. His articles are published widely online, including in Reason magazine, FoxNews.com, Huffington Post, and Daily Caller.
He founded NumbersUSA in 1996 after witnessing firsthand how opening immigration would hurt the United States economy by reducing wages, increasing crime rates, and lowering worker productivity.
The purpose of the NumbersUSA.com website is to provide facts about immigration and its impact on our country. Roy Beck founded the organization after learning that immigrants were displacing native workers who had been brought here at great expense. The number of new legal immigrants allowed into the United States each year has increased dramatically and now exceeds 1 million. These losses can be attributed to the growing number of unskilled workers entering the workforce. NumbersUSA advocates for reducing or eliminating all legal immigration into the U.S.
Meanwhile, the population of Americans born in America declined from 73 million to under 60 million during the same period. With nearly one-third of all U.S. residents foreign-born today, we cannot afford to continue importing millions of foreigners to compete against American workers for jobs.
Roy Beck is responsible for organizing a nationwide movement to bring Americans back home from illegal immigration. Since its inception, NumbersUSA has become one of America’s largest grassroots organizations. They educate tens of thousands of Americans about why we need to control our borders and end sanctuary cities.
Roy Beck is well-known for his work advocating for immigration reform. His book “The End of Immigration” has been called one of the most important books for understanding the politics behind U.S. immigration policy.
The United States has been losing population, and the U.S. Census Bureau projects that the loss will accelerate throughout. This decline is due to high unemployment rates, fewer births, and immigration. By 2050, the U.S. population will be much smaller than today, and one-third of Americans will live in California.
