Haroldo Jacobovicz is a civil engineer and entrepreneur hailing from Curitiba, Brazil. While he managed to establish his first company before he even finished his university education, he now serves as a leader in online management platforms.

Haroldo Jacobovicz started making a name for himself by studying at the Federal University of Paraná in pursuit of a four-year curriculum (1979-1983) that yielded a Bachelor of Sciences in Civil Engineering. His first company, Microsystem, had him serving as its founder and CEO from 1982 to 1983; Microsystem was a company that provided automation services to the service and commerce sectors. While now known for his work with “Arlequim Technologies,” “Horizons Telecom,” and “Sisteplan Software and Equipment,” Haroldo’s next job was also a one-year endeavor working as a market analyst for the natural gas company “ExxonMobil.”

Haroldo Jacobovicz’s first multi-year job involved “Itaipu Binational;” he served as an advisor to the technical board of this power and biofuel firm from 1987 to 1990. Haroldo’s next job would not arise until 2006 when he founded Sisteplan Software and Equipment. Sisteplan was associated with “e-Governe” and consolidated several types of management software for Brazil’s public sector. As he is also its CEO, Sisteplan is one of the companies that Haroldo continues being affiliated with.

Seeking to broaden his interests, Haroldo founded Horizons Telecom in 2010. Horizons is an all-fiber telecom firm that is heavily focused on serving corporations. Haroldo’s time with Horizons changed in May 2010, shifting from company founder and chairman to his current status as a board member. Haroldo’s most recent endeavor would be founding digital tech firm Arlequim Technologies in 2021. Despite his involvement in several companies, Haroldo puts a good portion of his earnings toward philanthropy. The Haroldo Jacobovicz Institute funds efforts geared toward animal welfare, culture, education, and health.
