Greg Aziz Leads the Sun-Times Media Group to Success

Greg Aziz graduated from the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law; he founded CGI in 1976 with two partners. Now one of Canada’s leading corporations, CGI provides software and IT solutions and business process outsourcing services in over 40 countries worldwide. Aziz is also president and CEO of Investcorp, one of the largest private investment companies in the world that has invested more than $27 billion since 1982. 

This company is involved in major projects across North America and Europe with a range of investments, including finance, real estate, and luxury retailing sectors. He is also President of Jaidah Group, a private investment company with considerable investments in telecommunications, insurance and financial services. Greg Aziz is also the CEO of Gulf One Investment Bank.

In addition, he is director of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority. Greg Aziz has been called one of Canada’s most influential business leaders by The Globe and Mail and the Financial Post. In his capacity as president of Investcorp, he serves on various boards, including Sun-Times Media Group (Canada), Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., Dexia Group, Dexia Bank Europe (Belgium), Accor SA (France), Anil Ambani Enterprises Ltd. (India), Glorious Food Holdings Ltd. (India).

Also, General Electric India Fertilizers, and Dexia Bank Belgium. He was a member of the Board of Directors at the Reserve Bank of Australia, an advisor to the Embassy of France in Canada, and a member of Canada’s Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Advisory Committee on Trade and Trade Policy. Greg Aziz is an outstanding business leader who has led several startups to huge success.

In 2009 he was awarded La Plume d’Or des PLQ du Québec by the Quebec Liberal Party (PLQ) for his service to various social causes. Finally but not less important, business leader Greg Aziz is also a recipient of Asian Fortune’s Business Leader Award in recognition of achievements in the business world, community service, and charity.
