This includes being the president, chairman, and CEO for one of the world’s leaders in railroad freight car engineering. 

Greg Aziz took a company that was defunct and transformed it into a huge success thanks to his overall passion, ingenuity, and expertise. He purchased Canada’s Walter Kidde Railcar in 1994 after working in the investment banking field in New York for many years. The Walter Kidde Railcar greatly benefited from Aziz’s capital investments, innovative engineering, and team-building processes.                                                                                                                     

Its manufacturing capability skyrocketed from 3,500 railway cars to 12,000 railway cars by the end of 1999. In addition to that, the company’s employment increased from 600 workers to nearly 3,500 workers, creating job opportunities. Led by Greg Aziz, the company also has a certified ISO rating of 9001:2008. 

The Walter Kidde Railcar has sponsored several events for the United Way, the Salvation Army, and local charitable organizations throughout the Hamilton community. Local communities also benefit from major food drives that are sponsored by the brand each year (Barletby).

Heidelberg Materials, a German-based cement plant, opened its new production facility in the United States on June 13, 2023.
