Your Needs
We want you to know that we are dedicated to helping you with your needs wherever you are in life. While there is a lot to read on this website, the best way to discover the feel of a place is by spending time with its people. Once you do this, we’re convinced that you will find everything that you’re looking for and much, much more.
Your First Visit
We would love for you to join us for one of our services. You should: Contact the assembly contacts listed in the directory. The phone number is a person’s home phone or cell phone. They are expecting you to call and ask about the assemblies services. They will be willing to meet with you beforehand if you have questions. Pick a Service. See the Gospel Hall F.A.Q. to read about the various types of meetings held in the Hall. Go to the Hall for the service.
After the service stay around and talk. We would love for you to stay after the services and get aquainted!
Sunday
9:00 a.m. Lord’s Supper:
As the early Christians did, we come together on the first day of each week to “break bread” (Acts 2:42; 20:7). This is a unique and special occaision for the Christian. The Lord asked us, on the night that He was betrayed, to break the bread and drink the wine to remember Him and His death on the cross of Calvary. Not only this, but we remember what He did on the cross in that He bore the punishment for the sins of every individual, died and rose again three days later! The least we can do is to perform the small task that He asked us to do in remembrance of Him, to worship and adore Him at the Lord’s Supper. There is no clergy or pastoral staff that lead this time of worship. The meeting progresses as men feel lead by the Holy Spirit to contribute through meaningful prayer, hymns, meditations and Scripture reading. See Our Message for further explanation on why the meeting is conducted this way.
11:30 a.m. Sunday School & Ministry Meeting:
The Sunday School students each go to their classroom downstairs where they are taught valuable truths from the Word of God, the Bible. Meanwhile, there is a Ministry Meeting for the adults. This is when a man from the church will give a message to the christians from the Bible. Usually this message is in some way an encouragement or a challenge to live our lives for the deeper meaning, for the Lord Jesus Christ. There is a new speaker each week and often there is an invited guest from another city.
7:00 p.m. Evening Gospel Meeting:
This service is held on Sunday evening and usually begins with a couple songs followed by someone from the pulpit clearly explaining the Gospel of Jesus Christ how you can have peace with God, a relationship with God and how you can know for sure that you will be in Heaven.
Wednesday
7:00 p.m. Prayer & Bible Study:
Prayer is instrumental in the Christian life and prayer together as a Church is also crucial, not to mention scriptural (Acts 2:42). One Wednesday night, the Christians come together to pray for the needs of the assembly, for the city of Saint John and for the many needs of those connected to the Christians at the Gospel Hall. Following this is time spent together in the Word of God seeking instruction, correction and encouragement from God as it pertains to our lives as individuals and a collected gathering of Christians.
